Pamela, Hair Stylist
At a young age, Pamela already knew she wanted to be a hairstylist. When she was 15 years old in high school, she enrolled in the first-ever offered cosmetology course. Over the next 3 years, she studied to graduate with not only a high school diploma but also her card to be a licensed hairstylist in June of 1988. She has worked at various salons over a few years and in 1996 at the age of 26, she opened her first studio some might remember called “Pam Per U” hair studio. Then, investing further in her career, she bought the building in the fall of 2002 and re-located her business. In February 2003, she married her husband Barry. Then in 2005, her family grew as she gave birth to her son Quinnlan and her daughter Kenna in 2009. At this point, with much sadness for her first love, Pamela had to sell her business but not her building. She continued working as a stylist in another studio. Finally, in 2012 she came home she followed her dream once more to embark on another business called Evolve Studio where she continues to do what she loves.
Gaylene, Hair Stylist
Gaylene has been a hairstylist for 18 years. She puts a lot of pride into having a close relationship with her clientele by making everyone laugh, feel relaxed and being someone you can confide in. She has a huge heart for her elderly clients, saying they’re the grandparents she never had. Gaylene is known for her blondes and working in a fast-paced environment quickly working through men’s cuts. When not at work she spends all her time with her husband Chad, daughter Brady, and stepson Cole. Gaylene is an outdoors girl and enjoys hunting, fishing & quading, just being ”one of the guys”.
Shelby, Hair Stylist/Lash Tech
Shelby is a young, talented Hairstylist and Eyelash Technician with 7 years of experience in the beauty industry. She enjoys doing colours, updos and haircuts. Shelby loves keeping up with the latest trends and making her clients look fabulous. Her outgoing personality makes her easy to get along with. Shelby likes to get dolled up and enjoys doing her makeup. In her free time, she loves spending time with her boyfriend of 5 years and enjoys spending quality time with her family and her niece, Gracie.
Erica, Nail Technician
Erica has been part of the Evolve team since graduating as a nail tech in 2020. Erica has always had a passion for nails, makeup & hair. No surprise she chose the salon industry. She also enjoys drawing, painting and finds that being a nail tech provides an outlet for her creativity to shine. On days off, you'll find Erica socializing (as much as possible), shopping, and the odd road trip to experience new things. If and when she is at home she will be chilling with her cat, Nilla.⠀
Trisha, Hair Stylist
Trisha decided to be a hair stylist at a young age following in the footsteps of her grandmother. Attending the same College of Cosmetology in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan just 50 years later. Since graduating in 2005 she has been working in various salons in Ontario and Manitoba. Even after so many years in the industry she still loves doing cuts and colors. She feels thankful for having a career that not only supported her all these years but has brought her life long friends she never would have met otherwise. When she isn't busy taking care of her clients she enjoys traveling, writing, painting and most of all spending time with her friends and family.⠀
Amber, Esthetician
Amber has been in the beauty industry for 10 years, getting her nail certification in 2011. Constantly adding to her repertoire by taking her skin course in 2015. She loves having a work environment where she can be artsy and creative while making her clients feel pampered and welcome. We notice her great attention to detail, whether it's perfecting crisp French tips or tweezing that last stubborn hair, she is a great addition to our crew. In her off time, Amber can be found doing various art projects with her mom and sister. Or hanging out with her boyfriend Tanner and they're two cats, Thomas and Yeti.
Cheryl, Mother Hen
Cheryl has been a lifer. She has had Pam doing her hair for 30+ years. As the bores of retirement set in, Cheryl came to work at Evolve Studio doing all of odds and ends, as well as book work. Cheryl has been married to her husband Mark for 47 years. With her spare time she enjoys spending it with her son and his family. She loves the hustle and bustle of the studio, just getting out and talking to people and being in the atmosphere of Evolve makes her happy to be there.
Cadence, Stylist/Barber
Meet our tiny, but mighty amazing barber Cadence. She is our go to girl for everything barbering. Hot shaves, skin fades & beard trims, this is you're gal. Aside from barbering as her passion, you can catch Cadence putting all the fun colours in women's hair styles. She was born and raised in Dauphin MB. When Cadence is not in the salon, she enjoys time with her boyfriend, friends and two cats.
